Pokimane also know as Imane Anys - Poki - إِيمَان أَنِيس , born Imane Anys on May 14, 1996, is a Moroccan-Canadian streamer, YouTuber, and internet personality known for her significant presence in the gaming and content creation communities. She was born in Morocco and moved with her academic parents to Quebec, Canada, at a young age, later growing up in St. Catharines, Ontario and attending a Christian school. Her early interest in gaming emerged in middle school, where she played titles like MapleStory and Endless Online, focusing on customization and socializing. She pursued chemical engineering at McMaster University but dropped out to focus on streaming full-time. Her ethnicity is Moroccan, and she is fluent in English and French.
